We’re interviewing MP’s in the run up to the General Election
Posted on: 11/11/2014
Over the coming months we will be interviewing the leading MP’s who will contest next years’ General Election.
We will be producing 10 minute programmes and will also be interviewing constituents and the public service bodies that contribute to your community. This will give a quick and interesting introduction to the key issues that will shape next years’ election. We will be asking the questions that voters want answering before they decide on who to vote for.
This looks set to be one of the tightest elections in recent times. Labour are very narrowly ahead in the polls but the uncertainty about Ed Miliband’s leadership. Rumours of strong support for Alan Johnson to replace him seem to have destabilised their credentials. Alan Johnson has definitively said that he will not return to frontline politics and is 100% behind Miliband’s leadership.
Johnson said, “Miliband will lead us into an election that I am convinced we can win. It was my decision to walk away from frontline politics, not Ed’s. He knows that while I won’t return, I will do everything I can from the backbenches to put Labour into government, and Ed Miliband into 10 Downing Street.”
Have you decided who you’re voting for yet? If not, why not send over your questions and we will try to put them to your local MP?
We’ll continue to post updates on the Election and our short programmes will be broadcast on Local Community Television from the start of next year.
