Digital Transformation: Social Housing

Posted on: 24/04/2020

The UK is in the midst of a housing crisis. People of all ages are struggling to find decent places to live and at an affordable price. Poor conditions such as overcrowding, ineffectual land lords and cutbacks making moving up the property ladder an economic improbability. What this means for the future, in particular for first time buyers and those wishing to start a family is unclear.

To gain a deeper understanding of how housing associations are coping with the build pressures of modern Britain, Executive TV’s latest programme, “Digital Transformation: Social Housing met with Shelton Development Services, a team of social housing experts riding the wave of the digital revolution.

One unexpected aid in the fight against the housing crisis comes in the form of technology born out of the digital revolution. The use of data analytics, mobile applications and A.I. have allowed housing associations to break free from the usual constraints.

Innovations in the private sector are having a huge impact on the public sector and if in the right hands, can make a huge difference.

Digital Transformation: Social Housing will be first broadcast on our usual channel, SKY 191, Sunday 26th April at 10.15(am) and then, on Sunday 10th May at 10.15(am).

After the initial broadcast, the programme will be available at http://www.executivetv.org/ with the rest of our digital archive.
