This programme focusses on how design is being used to innovate the modern workplace. Traditional, clinical offices are becoming a relic of the past with companies seeing the long-term benefits of creating collaborative, ergonomic and vibrant workplaces. Improved productivity, staff retention and reduced absenteeism being some of the benefits.
Alongside Design Council CEO John Mathers, we feature 3 companies driving this revolution. Claremont Group Interiors design and produce modern workplaces according to their clients’ distinct requirements. Online Ergonomics supply the latest ergonomic office equipment to reduce workplace ill-health. Plus Finance provide tailored lease agreements, enabling companies to reduce the initial outlay when creating a new workplace.
British design is revered around the world and our creative industries are the fastest growing sector for the UK economy. The demands of this growing industry mean we are tasked with bringing through the next wave of design talent. We look at how collaboration between University and industry can make courses more relevant to the industries needs, helping to prevent a skills shortage, safeguarding this industry.
